Sunshine Magistrates’ Court

We provide the following services at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court.

Family Violence Intervention Orders
(Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

Duty solicitors assist clients with family violence and stalking intervention orders. Clients can request this service at court or be referred by the Registrar.

Debt list
(Wednesdays 2pm – 5pm)
A duty lawyer and financial counsellor are available to advise clients who have to attend court for debt related matters, including Oral Examinations. Clients can request this service at court or be referred by the Registrar.

 

Sunshine Family Relationship Centre (FRC)

1 Clarke Street, Sunshine

A lawyer is available on Friday afternoons at the Family Relationship Centre in Sunshine to give legal advice on children’s matters. Issues we may be able to assist you with include:

  • parenting plans
  • parental responsibility
  • family violence
  • contravention of Family Court orders
  • applying for legal aid funding

Please note that this service is advice only and we do not provide ongoing casework or representation in disputed family law proceedings. In addition, we do not give advice on property matters.
